1 Merchant’s Way was the tallest building in the world upon its completion on March 11th 2026, a title it held until it was surpassed by the Pingu-Moseby Tower on March 21st 2026. It still holds the record for tallest office building in the world as it is home to The Mining Company and their offices. There are several floors of cubicles for local masons to sell their wares out of, and it also contains a storage and smelting facility. In the basement there is the entrance to the only active mine in all of Giados.
Originally built on Merchant’s Way this was supposed to be the first of several towers along the Way. However, as the city replanned the area, Merchant’s Way became a walking path leading into the Cherry Park. As such, there will never be any other buildings on Merchant’s Way, making this towers name a relic of times past. It is estimated that the trade that travels through this building equates to approximately 93,440 Emeralds per year, making it the second most productive place in Giados, behind only the Water Market (163,520).
