A History of the Worlds Fastest Horse

Due to the nature of our world, horses are at the forefront of transportation. Mysterra is currently home to over 30 horses that can run at over 14 blocks per second. But it wasn’t always that way. This article covers the full history of how we came to have so many speedy horses.

Chapter One – Pferdstadt

Pferdstadt (roughly translating to Horse Town) is where the selective breeding of horses for speed purposes originated. There was a plain outside the Gia National Library – Pferdstadt Branch that was used for these activities. It is all this breeding of horses that lead to the massive horse population that is currently there today. Horses from the area were brought into town and bred if their speed was considered fast, but there weren’t many truly fast horses in the area. That is until an unnamed grey horse was found over 1000 blocks away in the Seaside Plains. It was documented travelling at over 11 blocks per second; a far way away from 14, but significantly faster than average. This horse was brought back to town and bred until eventually, Moseby “The grandfather of all horses” was born.

Chapter Two – Moseby

Moseby was documented travelling at a whopping 14.40 blocks per second. Much faster than any other horse at the time. He was considered the “first fastest horse in the world” as documentation before his time was sloppy and unkept. Moseby would become something of a global icon, and it was he who eventually moved to Giabraltar to continue the breeding circuit as Pferdstadt didn’t have the room for more horses. Upon arriving in Giabraltar, Moseby and another unknown horse eventually gave birth to Pingu.

Chapter Three – Pingu

Pingu was the first horse to reach 14.56 blocks per second; the ceiling of horse speed. This was the hypothetical maximum speed a horse could travel. Pingu became globally recognized for being the first fastest horse possible. She entered the breeding circuit, relieving Moseby of his duties. The new goal of the horse enthusiasts around the globe was to selectively breed a horse that hits the fastest possible height and the highest possible jump. Pingu was far off the maximum jump height and it looked like Pingu’s breeding days were far from over. That is until she gave birth to Goose.

Chapter Four – Goose

Goose was a world breaker. Still is. At 14.57 blocks per second, Goose is slightly faster than the original maximum possible speed. Goose broke the scale. As such Goose is currently the one in the breeding circuit for the perfect horse. As of the time of this article, the jumping attributes are being selectively bred and Goose will join the circuit again once a horse obtains the maximum jumping stat.
